FAQs

Does Woven accept insurance?

We are not paneled or contracted with any insurance companies. We do provide superbills. These are just fancy receipts with all of the necessary information that your insurance company will need. You pay for the session cost and then submit the superbills for reimbursement from your insurance company.

How do I pay for sessions?

We require a credit card to be on file for all of our patients. We have an automated system that charges you on the evening after your session has been held. Need to change cards? Not a problem. Your therapist can help you navigate our payment system to upload a new card.

How much do sessions cost?

Our session costs are in line with the market rate in our area. Fees range from $250-$350/session, depending on education, experience, and expertise.

Am I matched with a therapist?

Yes! We take your treatment goals and current issue and match you with a therapist with that expertise. If you would like to work with someone specifically, we will get you connected with that therapist at their soonest available consultation time.

Are sessions held virtually?

Most sessions are held virtually. We do this to make our therapists more available for trauma survivors outside of the Santa Monica area. We have a HIPAA-compliant platform for all of our sessions. You’ll find its easy to log in and connect with your therapist at your weekly time.

Do you do EMDR?

Yes! You can learn more here. We have several therapists that specialize in EMDR and are happy to discuss any questions you have about the modality and our approach to safe trauma processing.

Disclaimer for Good Faith Estimate for Cash Pay and Out of Network Patients

Under Section 2799B-6 of the Public Health Service Act, health care providers and health care facilities are required to inform individuals who are not enrolled in a plan or coverage or a Federal health care program, or not seeking to a claim with their plan or coverage both orally and in writing of their ability, upon request or at the time of scheduling health care items and services, to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” (GFE) of expected charges. The GFE shows the costs of items and services that are reasonably expected for services provided by Woven. The estimate is based on information known at the time the estimate was created. It does not take into account any reimbursement that you may receive as a result of out of network benefits.

The Good Faith Estimate does not include any unknown or unexpected costs that may arise during treatment. You could be charged more if complications or  special circumstances occur.

If you are billed for more than this Good Faith Estimate, you have the right to dispute the bill.

You may contact Dr. Quincee Gideon, Clinical Director of Woven to let her know the billed charges are higher than the Good Faith Estimate. You can ask her to update the bill to match the Good Faith Estimate, ask to negotiate the bill, or ask if there is financial assistance available.
